Medicaid Redetermination

« Back to Glossary Index

Medicaid redetermination is the periodic review of a beneficiary’s eligibility to ensure they still qualify for Medicaid coverage.

How It Works: States review income, household size, residency, and other qualifying factors. Beneficiaries must provide updated documentation (pay stubs, proof of address, etc.) to keep their coverage.
